Sites from Expedia to major hotel chains are promising big savings this season–but beware the fine print. We’ve long been proponents of travel as the ultimate bonding experience, and it turns out we’re not the only ones! According to a new study by researchers at Emory University, appearing in The Atlantic, couples who had a honeymoon were 41% more likely to have long-standing marriages than those who skipped them. Other pointers for success: a big (but not too extravagant) wedding, and a long dating period pre-engagement.
