Whether you travel once a year or once a week, it’s important to be comfortable on the road. After all, if the journey is the destination, you want the journey to be a good one! I’ve picked up quite a few tricks in my 15+ years of globe-trotting, and was so exited when one of my fave magazines, Twirl New York, asked me to share my favorite travel products. Some of my fave discoveries, I run into while traveling. Take this one. I was in the Caribbean visiting The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas when I noticed someone using a Eminence Sun Defense Minerals powder sunscreen, and I was intriguedLearn more

See Our Latest Travel Picks in the Spring 2016 Issue of Destination I Do!

Pardon my braggy moment, but I was so excited to go to my bookstore today and see the latest issue of Destination I Do! I travel a lot, scouting for clients and writing about top honeymoon and wedding spots for various magazines. Destination I Do is one of my favorites; they share my undying passion for travel, and are some of the smartest, kindest people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. For this issue, I headed to Los Cabos, Mexico, which is a fave spot personally as well as for weddings and honeymoons, thanks to the abundance of great hotels, gorgeous natural beauty and the fact thatLearn more

Architectural Digest-Worthy Villas for a Destination Wedding or Special Occasions

I loooove hotels; few things make me happier than scoping out a new resort, or revisiting an old favorite to see how its changed. But hotels aren’t the only way to go for luxury travel — there are some spectacular villas out there, offering a different take on the luxury experience. For instance, Villa Manzu in Costa Rica comes with household staff and a garage filled with surfboards and kayaks, so guests can easily get out and play in the Pacific. To me, the best villas offer a sense of place, with great views, beautiful views and outdoor space to enjoy the location, and unique furnishingsLearn more

Talking Tuscany Destination Weddings on Style Me Pretty

Some people love the canals of Venice, others cry for the dramatic cliffs on the Amalfi Coast. But when it comes to Italy, for us there’s no place more beautiful, diverse and perfect for a gathering than Tuscany. The rural triangle between Florence, Pisa and Rome is home to gorgeous acres of farmland, medieval-era hilltop towns laced with cobblestone alleys, and some of the country’s top wine producers. Not to mention the great selection of venues and hotels, from simple stone-walled villas that date back centuries to lavish estates owned by some of the top names in Italy. That’s why we were excitedLearn more

The Honeymoonist Picks The Best Honeymoon Plunge Pools on About.com Travel

We LOVE a good plunge pool — it’s the top request we get for a honeymoon suite. And with good reason: A fantastic plunge pools is the ultimate romantic indulgence, a place you can relax and connect away from the crowds (and splashing kids!) at the main hotel pool, and a nice retreat when you’re have your fill of beach time. But it’s also one of the biggest areas for potential disappointments, if you don’t get what you think you’re getting. We know this firsthand: We’ve experienced plunge pools that look great in photos but when you get there, the pool is only a few inches deep–moreLearn more

Top Southern California Destination Wedding Venues in USA TODAY Travel

We love Southern California for destination weddings; it’s sunny, accessible and home to a slew of amazing venues and vendors. We headed out earlier this summer to scout hotels for USA TODAY Travel, we found it hard to narrow it down to just 10 — but we managed. From an historic inn in Palm Springs built by a mobster to a sprawling contemporary resort perched on the bluff just south of Los Angeles, these 10 hotels were the cream of the crop.

Talking Bora Bora Honeymoons on Style Me Pretty

When it comes to honeymoons, one place towers above the rest: Bora Bora. It’s one of our favorite places, for sure; every time we fly into Bora Bora Airport and get that first glimpse of the stunning blue-green waters, our hearts melt. Add in the fact that the airport sits on an island and is only accessible by boat…well, you have a magical experience from the very start. When our friends at the uber-fab Style Me Pretty asked us share our favorite things about Bora Bora, we were honored to share! Check out the story here. If you’re thinking of an overwater honeymoon, we’d love to help you create the ultimateLearn more

Surprise Travel, Yes or No? Our Take, in Ozy.com

Would you take a honeymoon not knowing anything about it, destination unknown and planned by someone else? “Travel to Nowhere/Anywhere” is apparently a thing for some wealthy Brits, who are signing on for the service from a UK luxury travel planner, who requires a $1,500 planning fee/$30,ooo per person minimum. We were flattered to be asked about it by one of our fave websites, Ozy.com. While I love reading about this kind of thing in Afar magazine’s “Spin the Globe” feature (they send a travel writer somewhere without any advance notice, and they have to make do on the fly when they get there),Learn more
